As an Apple user my day has been spent looking forward to the iOS5 update and iCloud. I did find out through Facebook I needed to update to iTunes 10.5, available for download either from your iTunes desktop client by checking for an update in the Main Menu or at the Apple website. This will apparently be required for iPhone, iPad and iPad Touch owners who want to sync their devices using the iOS 5. I definitely fit that bill.
So far I haven’t been able to get the iOS5 update (it was the 12th right) but did download iTunes 10.5, sort of. I hit the update software link, waited for it to download, and was greeted with a black/grey screen that provided me with the following information in five languages:
“You need to restart your computer. Hold down the Power button until it turns off, then press the Power button again.”
Wonderful! Not the best outlook I had hoped for.
After hitting the Power button to get everything back up and running this token message was displayed:
So now here I sit eagerly awaiting the arrival of iOS5. Every few minutes I check again and pray no more glitches. Same thing so far:
I’m sure it will be soon and hope it turns out to be as useful to me as I’ve read it will be. Not going to update to an iPhone4$ just yet.
