Movie Review – Lincoln

in Random Posts

Lincoln Lincoln was a movie that felt more like a play. I say that because it was so well done I felt like I was a part of it. Like I was there, watching. Daniel Day-Lewis mastered his role as Lincoln. It was almost eerie to watch him speak, move, and recreate a man long dead. He disappeared into this character

If I were to find fault it may be in some scenes that were overly done. To dramatized perhaps. But as Krista said that was really what made it so good and so real. You just don’t get used to it with todays overly produced dribble.

Synopsis: As the Civil War continues to rage, America’s president struggles with continuing carnage on the battlefield and as he fights with many inside his own cabinet on the decision to emancipate the slaves. What it comes down to is ending slavery or ending the war.

Spielberg’s Lincoln will become the definitive movie on Abraham Lincoln. If you go, and I hope that you do, go with ears ready to hear voices speaking out from the past.
