“In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.

Justice and Freedom for Syria is an inclusive group of volunteers who share a vision and are willing to give a hand towards the Syrian people’s peaceful journey for freedom and justice. They are based in Halifax, NS, Canada.

Today they were at Victoria Park handing out leaflets. Their mission is to support “…Syria’s peaceful journey for freedom and justice by raising awareness campaigns and updating people with news about current events transpiring in Syria. We also pledge to contact the necessary governmental and media entities in order to ensure the current repressive Syrian regime of Bashar Al-Assad is expelled, as it should have been decades ago.”

  1. Hello. I am a knitter who lives in Tacoma, Washington, USA. I have made a commitment to myself to knit one child’s winter hat every week for the upcoming year. At the ‘end’ of that period of time, I would like to donate them to an organizarion that will be able to distribute them in one of the Syrian refugee camps, perhaps in Turkey? I am hoping that you can send me all the information that I will need to send my little hats on their way. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you ASAP. Elena
