As life goes on, I know I would be no where if not for the numerous supporters, fellow advocates, and activists I have come to know. I can never thank you enough for everything you have done for me and my family. For our daughter Rehtaeh.
2014 was a busy year and thankfully it ended with Rehtaeh’s name no longer being hidden by a publication ban. Fighting that ban would have been a hard way to start 2015. I’m glad Nova Scotia Justice Minister Lena Metlege Diab did the right thing and issued a ministerial directive.
Our friends from Anonymous – Mercy, John, Ivan, Tina, Rob, Trina, *****, Sonya, Anthony, Christine, ******, ***, David, Vicky, Andrew, *** *****, Mel, Angela, Phil, Judy, Jason, Amy, Sam, …. I could literally fill the page. You are some of the best people I know. Thank you for being there for us.

A special thanks to Ryan Van Horne who really took a chance by breaking the publication ban and forced the hands of those who would have preferred to wash them.

To everyone who stood up, showed up, spoke up, and refused to remain silent in the face of injustice anywhere – you have done more for victims than you could possibly know. Keep your faith in humanity, you are why many of us still have it at all.
The New Year will bring some positive change.
To you all – HAPPY NEW YEAR. I wish you the best in 2015.
