The Skogafoss Falls of Iceland and Rehtaeh

[su_quote cite=”TC”]Good Morning Glen I have been travelling through Iceland this past week and placed a Rehtaeh Parsons stone at the foot of Skogafoss this morning. It is very peaceful and beautiful place.[/su_quote]

One of the last movies Rehtaeh and I planned to see together was Prometheus. I’m a sci-fi fan and I’ve dragged her to a few of my film choices. I didn’t get to see it with her but I thought of her the whole time when I was in the theatre once it was released

Since Rehtaeh’s death her mom has made memory stones and they have shipped the world over. Some of the places are really amazing – the Great Wall, Florence, Rome, Jamaica, London, Germany, Spain, New York City, Hawaii, Australia, Florida, Lake Louise, Croatia, Ecuador, Ireland, Brazil, Mexico, all across Canada and the United States.

And now there is one in Iceland by the Skogafoss Falls. A friend of mine put it there while hiking across the country. Skogafoss Falls aren’t the falls featured at the start of Prometheus but his photos reminded me of the film and her.

Thanks so much Terry! Rehtaeh passed away two years ago this week and you made getting through this tough time a little easier.

I, myself, have been making plans to visit Iceland, recently. Now I have a destination, too! What a wonderful way to share a wonderful memory of a wonderful person!

What a lovely way to remember and honor your daughter! May your memories of Rehtaeh be filled with only love and goodness at this solemn time of year.
