Dispatches from Cyberspace – Christmas 2016

Dispatches from Cyberspace are random writings about recent events, my life, and my much loved and missed daughter ~ Rehtaeh Parsons heart_16

Christmas 2016

Merry Christmas.

I wish you and yours a day filled with joy and peace.

There’s something comforting in Christmas and this morning was really comforting for me. I woke up early to the smell of my dad’s aftershave. I haven’t smelled that since his death in 2006. I’ve no idea where it came from or why now.

Christmas came with a good reason to smile this year.

Life was a lot simpler when Santa was real.

It’s a Small World

A few days ago I took Ozzy for his sunrise walk. I enjoy going out early with him because Toronto is surprisingly still and quite in the morning. It was about 5:30 – 6:00 AM and who runs up to pet him say hi?  A local reporter who was pretty hard on Rehtaeh after her death. She was on a jog and there she was, petting Rehtaeh’s little dog.

It’s not bad or anything,  just kind of threw me for a loop considering the odds.
